Local Filmmaker Continues Raising Hell

Edmonton, Alberta - February 22, 2016 - In an uncertain job market, it's nice to know someone's still hiring. Though it might not be the job you're looking for.

In Recruiting Hell, premiering on February 29th, we get to watch the demons and devils of Hell LLP - which is literally corporate hell - as they put together a recruiting video to try to hire new talent.

After qualifying in the first round of this year's STORYHIVE competition, local filmmaker Randy Brososky received a grant to film Recruiting Hell. It's the next story in the world of Necessary Evil, a story universe that is being built piece by piece by Brososky. Last year, Brososky was able to produce a pilot webisode for Necessary Evil, also with the help of STORYHIVE.

"We're slowly putting together a fictional world that is not that foreign to a lot of people who work in corporations," says Brososky. "If you've had a desk job in an office, odds are that Necessary Evil will seem more tragically familiar than strange."

He's woven together some of the original cast of Necessary Evil, and some new faces, including Trevor Devall, an ex-pat from Edmonton now living in Los Angeles as a voice actor. Devall has provided the voice for Rocket Racoon in the animated version of Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy, Emperor Palpatine in Lego Star Wars: Droid Tales and also works on Netflix's F is for Family.

"It was a real pleasure to come back home and work with my old comrade Randy on such a hilarious and promising project," says Devall.

Although Recruiting Hell will be available online, Brososky has wrangled a theatrical screening at the Garneau Theatre this Monday the 29th at 6:30.

"We'll show Recruiting Hell, the Necessary Evil pilot, and a couple other treats."

The screening is free, and in exchange, Brososky hopes to spread awareness and support of the project.

"The more people who become fans of the world, the easier it will be to sell to a broadcaster or network so that we can begin making Necessary Evil into a television series."

"Hopefully we can keep 'raising hell' until we can't be ignored."
