Randy Brososky: Azmodeus
Randy is the creator, writer and executive producer. He has been seen on screen and online in Truckstop Bloodsuckers, Burlesque Assassins, The Pharmacist, Nightmare Island 2 and the short All My Sins. His television credits include Blackstone, Mixed Blessings, Mentors, Mythquest and voiceover for the cartoons Law of Ueki and Flame of Recca.
Stage roles include leads in Cyrano de Bergerac, Rosencrantz & Guildenstern are Dead, Tale of Two Cities and As You Like It. Randy likes cheese.
Kimberley Philpott: Persephone
Kimberley Philpott is from Edmonton, Alberta and has been involved in local Edmonton films in a variety of capacities over the last two years. Kimberley has a Masters degree in Counselling, and continues her actor training through the Foote Theater School. This is her first web series.
Aaron Talbot: Xaphan
Aaron Talbot is an Edmonton-based actor and creator. No stranger to cubicle farms, he has worked as an arts administrator (a great gig) and for the government (*a-hem).
He has dozens of theatre credits to his name, and has received two Rosie nominations for his past film work.
Erika Conway: Nyx
Erika has divided her time over the past 18 years to the passionate pursuit of acting through both film and the stage. More recently her adventures have been gracing Edmonton’s theatre community and she is thrilled to get back in front of the camera.
Other passions include teaching yoga, and drinking really good coffee!
Clinton Carew: Valac
Clinton is a theatre actor and director who has been working around the globe for the past 30 years. He calls Edmonton home.
Necessary Evil is Clinton's first web series. You might occasionally catch him late at night on Superchannel in the Indie Action Comedy called The Pharmacist, where he played a vaguely Eastern European Killer-With-A-Heart-Of-Pyrite. If you play video games, you have probably heard his death howl by now.
Brent Tyson: The Supervisor
Brent Tyson is thrilled to be cast in the role of the Supervisor for Necessary Evil. Brent’s performance background mainly lies in musical theatre where he recently appeared in such shows as Into the Woods, Kiss Me Kate and A Tale of Two Cities.
Being cast in this production provides the opportunity for Brent to expand beyond the realm of live theatre where he looks forward to raising a little hell.
Mark Kandborg: Director - Necessary Evil Pilot
Mark is equally comfortable on both sides of the camera and has been working for companies like Paramount, 20th Century Fox, Disney Pictures, National Geographic and NBC for nearly 20 years. Today, he focuses on directing, producing and screenwriting, but Mark's previous credits include The Assassination of Jessie James, Cut Bank, Blackstone, Fear Itself, Christmas in Wonderland, Ginger Snaps 1 & 2, Millennium, Viper, X-Files and Highlander. He has also served as Location Manager on commercials for Apple, EA, Coca Cola, Zippo and many others. Mark's first on-camera appearance was as a short order cook on the X-Files, and his face is familiar to many for his continuing work in front of the lens. He is also the creator of All My Sins (currently in pre-production).
Chester Sit: Producer
Chester is an accomplished and award-winning producer, director, and writer whose most recent works include The Shift – The Story of the China Clipper which is a documentary about the story of the first Chinese player in the NHL, and the bilingual feature film The Pharmacist/Le Pharmacien, which was screened at various festivals around North America. His work in television includes directing numerous episodes of the comedy reality television series The Quon Dynasty, and the entire first season of the sketch comedy show CAUTION: May Contain Nuts. Chester has also produced and directed numerous commercials, music videos, and short films such as Wind Water, a short film created for Corus Networks, and Telling Teeth which was produced with the support of the National Film Board.
Marliss Weber: Associate Producer
Marliss is a social media community manager and corporate storyteller with her company Parodos Communications, where she also produces and directs corporate videos. She has her MA in Communications, her BA in English, a Diploma in Communications (Broadcasting) and a Diploma in Theatre Studies. She has worked in communications, theatre, film and journalism for 20 years.
Sasha McLaughlin: Hair
Sasha is a certified journeyman hairstylist and certified makeup artist, experienced with wigs and some special effects makeup. She is the owner of Slick & Twisted Hair Inc. She hopes to continue to work on as many creative projects as possible in the future, and is particularly excited about Necessary Evil and the many different directions it has the possibilities of going!
